PURPOSE:To prevent an insertion part of an industrial endoscope from being zigzag formed and to improve inserting efficiency by fitting an auxiliary traveling tool for traveling the endoscope in a pipe-like body to be tested and an auxiliary inserting member connected to the said auxiliary traveling tool and having high rigidity along the insertion part to the leading end of the insertion part. CONSTITUTION:When the auxiliary inserting tool for the endoscope is to be used, the auxiliary inserting member 11 is engaged with the insertion part 1 and connected to the auxiliary traveling tool 3 through a connection ring 7. When plural auxiliary inserting members 11 are to be used, respective members 11 are coupled with each other through the connection rings 7. When the auxiliary inserting member 11 is inserted into the body 5 to be tested, the wheel 6 of the auxiliary traveling tool 3 is rotated in contact with the inwall of the body 5 to be tested to guide the leading end part 2 and the position the member 11 in the body 5 to be tested. Since the hardness of the intermediate part of the insertion part 1 is increased by the member 11, the hardened part is prevented from buckling or drift. Since the insertion part 1 is not deformed zigzag on the way, pushing insertion force is precisely transmitted up to the leading end side, so that the insertion part 1 can be inserted sufficiently up to the depth.
