<p>The apparatus comprises a first transporter (1), a first static optical detector (3, 4), a width measuring station (10) with a reflector (17) arranged perpendicularly to the first transporter (1) subsequent to the latter, and below the trajectory of the piece to be measured (31), an optical measuring cell (16) mounted on a slide (14) which is displaceable parallel to the reflector (17) above the trajectory of the piece to be measured, a width encoder (100) associated with the slide (16), a second transporter (2) positioned downstream of the width measuring station (10), and a length sensor (20) comprising a member (23) for measuring the speed of the first or of the second transporter (1, 2). The apparatus finds application in particular in the dimensional control of pieces of wood.</p> |
