PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance without deteriorating the heat radiating characteristics by adding prescribed percentages of Zn, Ni, P and Sn to Cu. CONSTITUTION:This Cu alloy for the fins of a heat exchanger for an automobile consists of, by weight, 0.1-3% Zn, 0.005-0.5% Ni, 0.002-0.0018% P and the balance Cu or further contains <=0.5% Sn. The alloy has superior corrosion resistance in a corrosive environment and satisfactory heat conductivity as a material for the fins.
