PURPOSE:To execute a decoding processing at one reading signal decoding part and to decrease the cost by changing over a non-rewritable light recording and a rewritable magnetic recording for a reading part only. CONSTITUTION:The light recording and the magnetic recording of a card 7 are read respectively by a recording reading part 1 and a magnetic recording reading part 2 and inputted to a recording reading part changing-over part 3. The reading part changing-over part 3, by the instruction of a control part 6, connects either of the output of a light recording reading part 1 and the output of a magnetic recording reading part 2, to a reading signal decoding part 4. The card 7 is traveled in the recording reading direction by a card driving part 5 controlled by the control part 6 in order to execute the recording reading. The output from the reading signal decoding part 4 will be inputted to the data processor.
