PURPOSE:To surely insert a lead of parts into an insertion hole, by providing a displacement detecting means in a movable part of a holding mechanism which removably holds the parts to be inserted. CONSTITUTION:A device holds a part to the first movable part 2 by a holding mechanism 1 to be moved to the reference position of a base plate by an arm in a robot or the like. The movable part 2, being movably provided in the insertion direction, enables the part to be moved and adapted to the base plate even if it is displaced from the reference position. When a position of the part is displaced from that of an insertion hole, the second movable part 3, being operated and vibrated in a plane crossing at a right angle with the insertion direction, enables the part to be inserted also vibrating together. If the part is inserted, the device, lowering the movable part 2 to be detected by a detecting means 19 in a supporting part 4, stops operation of the movable part 3. |
