PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically inspect a gear with good efficiency, by providing a discriminator, which measures the outer diameter dimension of a work and discriminates the form thereof, to a first working station. CONSTITUTION:The outer diameter dimension of each of works 1 sent to a first working station at random by a chute 2 is measured by a discriminator 3 to discriminate the module of each work 1 and, succeedingly, the work 1 is centered to be grasped by a first loader 10 and transferred from the first working station A to a second working station B and subsequently chucked by a chuck mechanism 4 to be rotated in a state meshed with a selected master gear and the surface deflection or bruise of the work 1 is measured by a sensor and, subsequently, the inspection of the presence of the bruise of the work or the measurement of the gear is performed on the basis of the deflection quantity of the meshed master gear by an inspection mechanism (b). The work 1 is transferred from the second working station B to a third working station C by a second loader 11 and discharged. |
