PURPOSE:To ensure that an ink is rapidly fixed and is not dropped even when being rubbed with a finger or the like, by a method wherein an ink comprising a high boiling point solvent, a resin component soluble in the solvent and a coloring agent as main constituents is transferred onto a transparent recording material under pressure, thereby performing printing. CONSTITUTION:An ink ribbon is used which comprises a base coated with an ink comprising a high boiling point solvent having a vapor pressure at 20 deg.C of not more than 1mmHg, 2-20wt% of a resin component soluble in the solvent and not more than 45wt% of a coloring agent as main constituents. By using the ribbon, the ink is transferred onto a transparent recording material the surface of which can be solved in or swelled with the solvent contained in the ink composition. By this, characters or figures formed are rapidly fixed, and a transparent recording original free of dropping of the ink even when being rubbed can be formed. Of high boiling point solvents, a solvent of general formula HO-(CnH2n+1O)-mH, wherein (m) is an integer of 2-7, and (n) is 2 or 3, produces the most favorable results. |
