PURPOSE:To obtain excellent color formation accelerating action and preservation stability, by incorporating a compound of formula (I) into a thermal recording material comprising a leuco compound and an organic acid as main constituents. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula (I), wherein each of m and n is an integer of 1-10, is incorporated as a color formation accelerator into a recording material comprising a leuco compound and an organic acid for developing the color of the leuco compound by reacting therewith as main constituents. The substance of formula (I) has a conspicuous color formation accelerating effect, and when 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)propane, 4,4'- dihydroxy-3,3'-diisopropyldiphenyl-2,2-propane or the like is used as a color developer in combination with the substance, fingerprint resistance is markedly enhanced. The content of the compound of formula (I) is preferably 1-40wt% based on the total solid content in the thermal recording layer. |
