PURPOSE:To obtain the expanding feelings of a sound field by supplying the addition signal of a difference sound signal and a delay difference sound signal to one rear speaker and the subtraction signal of the delay difference signal and the difference sound signal to the other rear speaker. CONSTITUTION:The addition signal {(L-R)+DELTAt(L-R)} of the difference sound signal (L-R) available from a mixing circuit 7 and the delay difference sound signal DELTAt(L-R) which a delay circuit 8 delay the difference sound signal by the prescribed time is supplied to the rear left speaker 11. On the other hand, the subtraction signal {-(L-R)+DELTAt(L-R)} of the delay difference sound signal DELTAt(L-R) and the difference sound signal (L-R) is supplied to the rear right speaker 12. When the delay difference signal DELTAt(L-R) is emphasized, the sound field narrows its expanding feelings, thereby making it optimum for movie reproduction. Conversely, when the difference sound signal (L-R) is emphasized, the sound field increases the expanding feelings, thereby making it opitmum for music reproduction. |
