PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency and permit the dimension control with high precision by interposing a piezoelectric element between a rod and a fixed frame, applying a compression force in the axial direction and controlling the advance and retreat of the rod by the minute shift in the axial direction of the piezoelectric element. CONSTITUTION:A center hook 29 is fixed at one edge of a rod 34 inserted in slidable ways through a rectilinear bearing 32 into a fixed frame 32. In grinding work, the dimension of a work 21 immediately after grinding is measured by a dimension metering element, and the measurement signal is input into a computer 41. A piezoelectric element 37 is controlled by the instruction supplied from the computer 41, and the relative position between the work 21 and a grindstone 22 is varied by shifting the center hook 29, and the working dimension for the work 21 is adjusted. Therefore, the working efficiency can be improved, and dimension control is permitted. |
