SPHEROIDAL GRAPHITE CAST IRON HAVING BAINITE MATRIX

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain spheroidal graphite cast iron causing hardly cracking by specifying the average grain size of graphite in the bainite matrix of spheroidal graphite cast iron. CONSTITUTION:The average grain size of graphite in the bainite matrix of spheroidal graphite cast iron is regulated to <=20mum. By this regulation, the crack generating energy is increased but the crack propagating energy is reduced, so the total fracture energy is slightly changed. A new use for the spheroidal graphite cast iron can be found because the cast iron hardly causes cracking.
