Described is a reference part (30, 30') for positioning a workpiece in a predetermined desired position within a working area (10) of a wire electroerosion machine relative to the cutting wire (8) of the machine. At least one flat basic reference surface (20, 22) extending in an X-direction and in a Y-direction perpendicular thereto is formed on the work-holding table (2) of the machine outside the working area at the level of the bottom limit (zero line 9) of the working area in a Z-direction perpendicular to the X- and Y-direction. In order to create a clear geometric reference in the vicinity of the working area for the reproducible setting-up of a workpiece, which reference can be utilized as a fixed initial value by the electronic control system of the machine, provision is made for the reference part to have a plane undersurface (32) and to be equipped with fastening means (42, 44, 46) in order to clearly fix it with the undersurface on the basic reference surface and to have at least one plane side surface (36, 38), extending perpendicularly to the undersurface, as a reference surface in the X-direction. <IMAGE> |
