PURPOSE:To reduce a time for decoding by providing a shift resister which is able to store an encoding picture information inputted to a decoding means by the maximum length of a code word including a tag bit. CONSTITUTION:A shift register 4 having the bit storing capacity of the maximum code word length, in which an encoding picture signal inputted in order is stored, a shift register 5 having a storing capacity of the maximum code word to which the length of the tag bit is added, in which the output of the shift register 4 is stored, a selecting means which selects the outputs of the shift registers 4 and 5 as an encoding picture signal RDS, a counter 10 which counts the shift number of the register 5 and generates a carry signal when the counting value is coincided with the number of bits in the register 5, a counter 12 having the same capacity as the counter 10 and a sequence controller 2, etc. are provided. Thus, by providing a register which is able to store the encoding picture information by the maximum length of the code word including the tag bit, data which are decoded just before are inputted from the register when a line completion signal is responded from a picture generating means and the decoding is performed in a short time because it is constituted that a forefront bit is recognized as the bag bit. |
