PURPOSE:To provide corrosion preventiveness to the section of a press-blanked article without subjecting separately the section to a corrosion preventive treatment by plating a soft metal for corrosion prevention on the surface of a copper alloy and subjecting the copper alloy to press blanking to draw the soft plating metal into the blanked section. CONSTITUTION:The soft corrosion preventive metal such as Zn or Sn is plated on the surface of a thin sheet of the copper alloy such as brass or german silver. Such thin copper alloy sheet is press-blanked to a desired shape to draw Zn or Sn, etc., which are the soft corrosion preventive plating metal on the surface into the press-fracture surface. The press-fracture surface is subjected to a chromate treatment, if necessary, by which the corrosion preventiveness of the press-fracture surface is improved. The corrosion preventive layer is formed by the drawn-in of the plating metal for corrosion prevention in the stage of the press-blanking without subjecting deliberately the press-fracture surface to a corrosion preventive treatment and therefore the production of the press-blanked article is made possible with high production efficiency.
