PURPOSE:To completely eliminate two step discharge potential by specifying the composition of divalent silver oxide and silver oxide, apparent density, and particle size of positive active material particles, filling the active material particles in a positive container, and forming a silver layer on the surface of the particles to electrically contact the silver layer with the positive container. CONSTITUTION:100mg of positive active material particles comprising 60wt% divalent silver oxide and 40wt% silver oxide is filled in a positive container. The active material particles having a particle size of 50-100mum and an apparent density of 3.3g/cm<3> or more are used. By using this positive active material, two step discharge potential is completely eliminated regardless of the uniformity of silver layer formed on the surface of positive active material particles. |
