PURPOSE:To provide stocking operation in a minor space, accomplish a large quantity storing and facilitate carrying-in and -out with a stocking device for a production line of bar-shaped construction material by installing a chain-driven object lifting path and sinking path in parallel with said stocking device, and by furnishing the chain with a receiving piece to support a table for the object to be transported. CONSTITUTION:Each object 2 from a carry-in device 3 is placed on the lowermost table 1 in the rising path A, and lifted for a level difference corresponding to one step of a receiver piece 10. This process is repeated, and the uppermost table 1 is pushed by a pushing piece 19 of a fore and aft feeding device 5 together with the transported object to the position left up in the attached illustration, to cause transfer onto the object sinking path B. This sinking path B sinks pitch by pitch, and the transported object 2 in the lowermost step is carried out by a carry-out device 4. The emptied table 1 is returned by a returning device 6 to the lowermost position of said rising path A. This constitution enables carrying-in and -out with a minor space, a large quantity stocking and operation at optimum timing.
