The apparatus consists of a buoy 1 equipped with a bottom 2 which is in part rigid, and with flippers 13, 14. Seated, squatting, or upright, the user imparts with the aid of the hands or the feet alternate impulses which control at will displacement and orientation in the manner of palmipeds. As it is possible for a number to move about, without hindrance, in swimming pools, and to collide with one another, they constitute a beneficial and engaging game. <IMAGE>
