PURPOSE:To recover an original color in estimation with fidelity when recording a color picture by coinciding a condition when an input color original or a color picture information is generated with a correction factor which corrects the color distortion of the color picture information. CONSTITUTION:A color reproducing system 1 consists of the input system 11 of the input color original S, a color correction system 12 and the recording system 13 of an output picture 0. The original S is the output of other color reproducing system 3 in which the color original is generated based upon an original 2. A distortion PSI2' in the color reproducing system where the original S is generated and a distortion PSI' in the reproducing system when a color correction function H2 is extremely estimated are not always equal, however, the original color of the original S can be estimated with estimating it as PSI2'=PSI2'=PSI2.
