<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a discharge phenomenon due to static electricity generated during rubbing against a liquid-crystal oriented film in manufacture by pointing either or both of tips of assistant patterns for discharging. CONSTITUTION:Plural electrode patterns 7 for display, a coupling pattern 8, and assistant patterns 9 are provided on a substrate. The patterns 9 are provided, so discharge is caused at a part C between the patterns 9 at a interval narrower than a gap A-B. Static electricity is apt to gather around pointed tips, so either or both of the tips are preferably pointed at the part C between the patterns 9. The gap of the part C is preferably <=2/3 as large as the shortest gap A-B between electrode patterns 7. The substrate pattern where the coupling pattern 8 is formed is only cut and removed after a rubbing treatment.</p> |
