PURPOSE:To maintain fine developing state while keeping toner density in a developer approximately at a fixed value by feeding toner corresponding to the quantity of toner in the developer which may be consumed to develop a latent image on a photosensitive body from a hopper to a storing part. CONSTITUTION:The developer having a prescribed toner density is loaded to the storing part 16 and the developer having prescribed layer thickness regulated by a blade 18 is supported and carried on a sleeve 12 in accordance with the rotation of the sleeve 12 in the arrow 27 direction. At the regulation of the layer thickness of the developer by the blade 18 due to the rotation of the sleeve 12, the movement of the developer is generated on the back side of the blade 18 in the sleeve rotating direction 27 as shown by the arrow 28. The excessive developer regulated by the blade 18 is returned to the direction of the storing part 16 and the agitating motion of the developer is generated in the storing part 16. At the initial state, the developer is stored in the storing part 16 and the agitating motion interrupts toner from being entered from the hopper 20 into the storing part 16 through the opening of a diaphragm 24. |
