PURPOSE:To surely prevent shimmy, by providing two coupling parts for a towing vehicle to the frame of a trailer at two positions in the widthwise direction of the trailer, by supporting an axle to a bracket which is pivotably journalled to the base of the frame, and as well by suitably providing a pivotal resistance to the bracket. CONSTITUTION:Two support members 4 are attached to the frame of a small- type trailer 1 having a cargo bed 2 to which a pair of wheels 3 are attached, widthwise of the trailer 1, so that the support members 4 are projected forward of the frame, and coupling parts 51 for a towing vehicle 10 are formed in the front end parts of the support members 4. The rear end parts of the support members 4 are connected together by means of a bumper 21, and a coupling member 5 between both support members 4, which is arranged in front of the bumper 21, is used as the bsse part of the frame. An axle 30 is supported by means of suspensions 7 and swing arms 8 to a bracket 9 which is pivotable by means of a bearing 66 about a vertical shaft 60 which is secured to the center section of the coupling member 5. A shimmy damper including a cylinder 91 is connected between the bracket 9 and the shaft 60. |
