PURPOSE:To obviate an increase in residual potential after repetitive continuous use and to obtain stable characteristics by interposing an intermediate layer consisting of SeO2 between a photoconductive base body and photosensitive layer of a selenium photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The intermediate layer 12 is provided between the conductive base body 11 and photosensitive layer 13 of the photosensitive body disposed with the photosensitive layer 13 consisting of Se or Se alloy on the conductive base body 11. The ground stain of the copied image is prevented in the stage of the repetitive continuous use of the photosensitive body if the above- mentioned photosensitive layer is provided. The photosensitive body having the stable characteristics is thus obtd.
