PURPOSE:To obviate the increase of Q/M of a cleaning gent even after continuous cleaning and to improve stability by charging electrostatically and frictionally the carrier of which the surface is treated with a perfluoroalkyl compd. or a compd. classified to any of C.I. Solvent Blue 70 and the toner made to remain on a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The toner remaining partly in the stage of transfer enters a magnetic brush cleaning device 200. The carrier to be put into the device 200 is used after the surface thereof is preliminarily treated. More specifically, the perfluoroalkyl compd. or the compd. of C.I. Solvent Blue 70 is brought into contact with the carrier and thereafter the carrier is used by putting the same into the cleaning device. The electrostatic charge quantity (Q/M) of the cleaning agent is always maintained constant even if the toner recovery is repeatedly executed in the cleaning device by treating the carrier in the above- mentioned manner. The efficient cleaning is thus executed. |
