PURPOSE:To facilitate the reversing of a billet by using a clamping claw to support with clamping one end part of a billet by floating it from the above of a transfer roller table and the turning motion with the supporting roller to hold the other end part freely rotatably. CONSTITUTION:The billet reversing device is composed by a reversing machine 4 and reversal supporting machine 3 in a flaw removing line. A billet 10 is clamped by floating from the above of a transfer roller table 2 by the clamping claws 35, 36 constituting the reversing machine 4 and supported by floating the other end of the billet 10 by the supporting roller 48 constituting the reversal supporting machine 3. The billet 10 is then turned around the horizontal axis under the guide of the supporting roller 48 by turning the clamping claws 35, 36. The reversal of the billet can thus be performed easily and smoothly without having any interference with the transfer roller table.
