PURPOSE:To protect individual members for the end of a tape or the like by providing a frictional body to transmit the rotational force to a reel rest. CONSTITUTION:A reel top 242 is press-fitted to the upper shaft part of the reel rest 241 and its internal cylinder is the rotation bearing of the reel rest. A washer 248 and a spring washer 247 are arranged between a bottom reel 240 and a reel gear 260. The spring washer 247 energizes upward a reel rest device 200 by its elastic force to allow the reel top 242 to abut a snap ring 251 provided on the shaft reel 241 and not only stabilizes vertical positions of the slip gear 252 and the reel gear 260 but also gives a proper back tension to the reel rest device 200. The washer 248 provided between the spring reel 247 and the reel gear 260 is an interposed member which uses the elastic force of the spring washer 247 to give a proper back tension to the reel rest device 200.
