PURPOSE:To prevent the stepping of a counter due to a malfunction by comparing a check signal to a counter and its answer signal with the micro CPU of a copying machine at a specified time and outputting a counter stepping signal from the copying machine side when the two signals coincide. CONSTITUTION:The micro CPU 152 of the body of the copying machine corresponding to an electronic counter 10 outputs a check signal CO through a connector 23 and on receiving an answer signal AK from the counter 10, compares values of the two signals CO, AK. When the two signals are outputted synchronously, the CPU 152 judges it as normal and keeps a main relay RA on and holds a counter stepping signal for a specified time. When the two signals are not outputted correspondingly, the CPU judges it as abnormal and makes the relay RA off to make copying impossible. |
