PURPOSE:To obtain a charge providing material capable of providing proper electric charges to a toner and having superior durability by holding a specified dicyclohexylamine nitrite on the surface of a charge providing material such as carrier particles for providing electric charges to a toner. CONSTITUTION:Dicyclohexylamine nitrite represented by the formula (where each of R, R', R'' and R''' is <=20C alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, acyl, halogen or NO2, but the substituents may not by present) is held on at least the surface of a charge providing material such as carrier particles, a cylindrical sleeve or a doctor blade for providing electric charges to a toner which develops an electrostatic charge image in an electrophotographic process, an electrostatic recording process or other process. The dicyclohexyamine nitrite or the compound and a resin binder are dissolved in an org. solvent, the charge providing material is dipped in the resulting soln., and the solvent is removed by evaporation to stick the compound to the surface of the charge providing material. Thus, a charge providing material attaining the proper electrostatic charging of a toner and having superior durability to friction with the toner is obtd. |
