PURPOSE:To enable heating at the upper part and cooling at the lower part by providing a bucket vertically movable and filled with a condensate, a liquid reservoir which stores a condensate placed in the bucket, and means for upwardly moving the bucket when the condensate is filled therein. CONSTITUTION:A main heat pipe body 1 is provided with fins 2 and 2'. A bucket 5 is provided at the upper part of a spring 6, vertically moves within the main heat pipe body, and a condensate is filled therein. In this operation, steam passed through pipes 9 and 10 and reaches a cooling part X and condenses, and the condensate flows to the bucket 5. When the liquid is removed from the upper part and the condensate is filled with the bucket 5, a spring made of a shape memory alloy is heated by the heater 7, and the bucket 5 is pushed upwardly. Then, when the bucket 5 reaches a pipe 8, the condensate therein flows into a liquid reservoir 11 via a pipe 9, and the steam within the liquid reservoir 11 escapes to the cooling part via a pipe 10. Then, when the operation of the heater 7 is stopped, the temperature is lowered, and the spring 6 shrinks gradually, and the bucket 5 is returned to the lower part.
