The hybridomas are made by (a) creating cells which produce anti-bodies by isolation of lymphocytes from peripheral human blood and cultivation of the lymphocytes with an antigen, e.g. nitrogen of carmine herb; (b) fusing these cells with neoplastic leukaemia cells of Jurkat human T cells to produce the hybridomas; (c) selecting hybridomas able to convey the allergy suppresser factor through the stages of use of neoplastic cells which have an anomaly in their biochemical route so that they only develop in absence of hypoxanthine, aminopterine and thymine; (d) using cells which produce anti-bodies able to grow in their presence; and (e) placing the mixed cells in a soln. contg. them.
