In the manufacture of an electrical connection unit, a semiflexible insulating substrate is encapsulated, the latter having circuit tracks connected to tabs 6 and receptacles 8 and which are then interconnected by means of additional circuit tracks by means of rods 10 in an insulating cover from which emerge the tabs 6 and receptacles 8, the cover being formed with a central hinge 14 and fastening means 18, 20. The parts 15 and 15a on each side of the hinge are made to oscillate until they lie back-to-back around the hinge 14 so that the tabs and receptacles 6 and 8 emerge from opposite sides, the fastening means 18, 20 keeping the pieces in position so that the unit thus formed may be used as a motor- vehicle bulkhead connector.
