PURPOSE:To enable grinding/polishing through wide contact area corresponding with the shape of surface of work by forming the polishing material into a hollow enclosed body. CONSTITUTION:Polishing material 3 containing grinding wheel or abrasive grains or securing them onto the surface is formed into a hollow enclosed body 4. The outer shape of said body 4 will fit well to the surface shape of work 5 and face contact over wide range thus to enable polishing on a complex three-dimensional curved face of work 5.
