<p>PURPOSE:To detect an original size with a high precision by providing a detecting means consisting of light emitting elements and photodetectors to detect sizes in both directions of an original and lighting light emitting elements to designate an erase range when the erase range is designated and leading the reflected light from the original to alight receiving part by a half mirror. CONSTITUTION:When an original G is brought closely into contact with an original platen 2, the reflected light from the original G of a spot light is reflected on a half mirror 133 and is led to a photodetector 132b. Even if the original G is raised above the original platen 2, the reflected light is led there similarly to detect the presence/absence and the size of the original accurately. When the spot light is moved to a point S1 on the original G and a position designating key 30e is depressed in this state, the coordinate position designated by the point S1 is stored in a main processor group. When the spot light is moved to a point S2 on the original G and the position designating key 30e is depressed in this state similarly, the position of the point S2 is stored also. When points S3 and S4 on the original G are designated and an erase range designating key 30g is depressed, the part other than a square having diagonal point S3 and S4 is designated as the erase range.</p> |
