A device for measuring earth resistance rI by using a voltage source on load whose neutral N is connected to earth, producing a very brief voltage drop in the loop passing through the earth and measuring it at two points 1 and 2. The earth resistance rI is the difference between the two measurements. Intended particularly for earth measurements in towns, where earthing rods cannot easily be driven into the ground. <IMAGE>
