PURPOSE:To add an electronic calculator function to an input device of an information processor by providing an arithmetic circuit section carrying out the calculation in accordance with the inputted data to an input device of the information processor having a keyboard. CONSTITUTION:When it is required to calculate during using a terminal, an user of the terminal uses a mode selecting section 11 to select an electronic calculator function mode. Then, in a mode selecting display section 12, a display of the electronic calculator function selection is performed and the data input is carried out by the use of a key section 14. Further, in accordance with the input data, an arithmetic circuit section 15 performs the calculation and the result is displayed on an arithmetic display section 13. When it is desired to complete the electronic calculator function, returning to an original state by the use of the selection section 11 and a job is continued. In this manner, the electronic calculator function can be added to the input device of the information processor.
