PURPOSE:To provide the titled compd. which has excellent heat resistance and mechanical and electrical characteristics and is lowly smoking and of non- pollution type, by incorporating an inorg. flame retarder in a resin component consisting of two ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymers and a specified copolymer. CONSTITUTION:40-200pts. (by weight; the same applies hereinbelow) inorg. flame retarder [e.g. Al(OH)3] and optionally not more than 100pts. inorg. filler (e.g. CaCO3) are blended with 100pts. resin component consisting of 50-90pts. ethylene/3-12C alpha-olefin copolymer (a) having a density of 0.86-0.91g/cm<3>, a boiling n-hexane-insoluble matter content of 10wt% or below and the max. peak temp. Tm of 100 deg.C or above as measured with a differential scanning calorimeter, 10-50pts. copolymer (b) having a carboxyl group content of 5-50wt%, composed of ethylene and a carboxyl group-contg. compd. (derivative) and 0-40pts. ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer (c) having a density of 0.91-0.97g/cm<3> and an MI of 0.05-50g/10min. |
