<p>PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a sheet shape by calculating the preset value of a backup roll crown from predicated rolling conditions, calculating a preset error from actual rolling conditions and compensating the preset value. CONSTITUTION:This presetter is constituted of an average value calculating device 14, a preset error calculating device 15, correction value calculating device 16 and a crown set calculating device 17. The estimated rolling force value P* for the 1st pass is inputted to the device 17 to determine on optimum roll crown (y) prior to the start of rolling of the 1st pass. A bender servocontrol system 8 and a rolling down leveling servocontrol system 9 are driven to flatten the shape detected with a shape detector 10 after the start of rolling. A crown correction rate DELTAy is then determined by the device 15 and the correction of the preset value (y) is repeated for each of passes by said correction rate and the correction rate botd. by the device 16. The error DELTAy is thus decreased and the quality of the shape is improved.</p> |
