PURPOSE:To improve efficiency in lifting and sending out nonmagnetic plate material by lifting plate material one by one by means of a sucking elevator and by sending out the material pressed against a conveyer, if the material is of magnetic body, using a magnet placed on the reverse side of the conveyer, and if the material is of nonmagnetic body, making a frame shaked forward. CONSTITUTION:When the uppermost plate material (a) is sucked with a vacuum pad 7 of a sucking elevator mechanism 3, the mechanism 3 is switched to upward motion and returns to ascent position. Here, if the plate material (a) sucked with the pad 7 is of magnetic body such as a steel sheet, it is detected with an access switch 21 when the material is moved upward to the position of a conveyer 4, the suction of the pad 7 is released and the plate material (a) is attracted and held by a magnet 16 on the lower side of a belt 15a. On the other hand, if the plate material (a) is of nonmagnetic body such as aluminum, a moving frame 25, after proceeding up to the underside of the plate material (a), presses the plate material (a) against the lower part of the belt 15a. The tail end 25a is then depressed with a shaker mechanism 27 toward the direction B, the front end 25b is shaken toward the C direction and the plate material is pressed against the lower part of the belt 15a by means of a roller 28, so that both magnetic and nonmagnetic bodies are sent out toward the A direction.
