PURPOSE:To make a film, the ends of which are reinforced, and consequently improve the windability of the film by a method wherein developing solution is turned into the film under the state that the ends of the layer of the developing solution is made thicker than its center. CONSTITUTION:Liquid containing polymeric compound is developed onto a film-making state in such a manner that the ends is made thicker than the remaining portion so as to form a developer layer with thicker ends in order to introduce the resultant layer in a drying process. For example, a coater 4, the gap between which and a film-making stand made of stainless steel belt 2 is wider at the ends than at the remaining portion, is employed on the film- making stand so as to develop the liquid containing polymeric compound in such a manner that the ends are thicker than the remaining portion. The thick ness at the ends of the developer layer is about 1.1-2 times as much as that at its center. On the other hand, the thickened width of each end of the devel oper layer is properly about 1-30% of the total width of the developer layer. |
