PURPOSE:To produce a stainless steel sheet having excellent ridging resistance and formability at a low cost by subjecting directly a chromic stainless steel slab consisting of a specific compsn. contg. Cr, Al and N to cold rolling after hot rolling under adequate conditions. CONSTITUTION:The chromic stainless steel slab contg. 10-20wt% Cr, 0.03-0.2% Al and 0.008-0.04% N is subjected to rough rolling which consists of plural rolling passes and in which the reduction ratio of the final pass is 35% and the end temp. of the rough rolling is 900-1,100 deg.C after heating the same to a 1,000-1,300 deg.C temp. range. The slab is subjected, in succession to the end of said rough rolling, to the final rolling which consists of plural rolling passes and in which the reduction ratio of the final pass is a 5-16% range and the end temp. range of finish rolling is 800-950 deg.C. The hot rolled plate is then directly cold rolled without annealing after the hot rolling by which the chromic stainless steel sheet having the excellent ridging resistance and formability is obtd. |
