PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion of a metallic layer to a top coat layer when the layers are successively formed on the surface of a substrate, by incorporating a specified amount of a silane coupling agent into the top coat layer. CONSTITUTION:A base coat layer 2 of thermosetting polyester urethane paint or the like is formed on the surface of a molded resin article of ABS resin, polyamide or the like as a substrate 1. A metallic layer 3 of an Ni alloy, an Fe alloy or the like is formed on the base coat layer 2 by vacuum plating, and a top coat layer 4 of two-pack curing acrylic urethane paint or the like is further formed on the surface of the metallic layer 3. At this time, about 0.5-5wt% silane coupling agent such as vinyltriethoxysilane or gamma- aminopropyltriethoxysilane is incorporated into the top coat layer 4. |
