PURPOSE:To acquire a cathode-ray tube of superhigh resolution, by forming the center lens hole and the both side lens holes of an electrode which consists a main lens member, in different forms. CONSTITUTION:While the center lens hole 8b of a G3 electrode 4 is formed in a circle, the lens holes 8a and 8c of both sides are formed in an ellipse with the vertical size larger than the width. Since the width of the both side lens holes 8a and 8c of the G3 electrode 4 in the main lens member is made smaller than the diameter of the center lens hole 8b, the horizontal curvature in the same potential surface is larger in the side lenses than in the center lens. Therefore, the horizontal focus properties of the center lens and the side lenses can be unified by adjusting the focus property of the side lenses. In such a way, the spot form of both the center beams and the side beams can be adjusted to be in the same circular form.
