PURPOSE:To form the titled facsimile equipment not having a line unit by providing a memory storing a reception signal provided in a CCU, a power supply control means for applying a power to a facsimile equipment after an incoming call is received and a nonvolatile memory provided to the facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION:A program memory PMEM23 has an OS program to control each unit in a facsimile main body 20 and an input/output device provided on the periphery of the facsimile main body 20 and an application program memory area and also a font memory area converting a character code into image data. Further, the PMEM23 has a memory management unit MMEM and also a work area as a buffer of the transmission data sent from the hard disc to a CCU30 and stored from the CCU30 in the hard disc. As external stor age devices, the hard disc device 50 and the floppy disc device 51 having nonvolatile memories are provided.
