PURPOSE:To give a superior color fade preventive effect and to prevent the change of hue, Y-stains, and the deterioration of the color forming performance of a coupler by incorporating at least one kind of specified compds. in at least one of layers formed on a support. CONSTITUTION:At least one of layers formed on the support contains at least one of compds. represented by the formula shown on the right in which R1, R2 are each H, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, heterocyclic, or acyl; R3 is H, halogen, alkyl, hydroxy, alkoxy, alkylthio, arylthio, alkylamino, acylamino, or sulfonamide; and m is an integer of 1-6. This compd. has to be added to only one of photographic constituent layers, but it is preferred to add it to a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer not in a limited amt., but, preferably, in the amt. of 1-300mol% of mol of a coupler. Silver halide emulsion may be prepared by simultaneously adding halide ions and silver ions, or adding either of ions to a soln. contg. the other ions, thus permitting discoloration and decoloration due to light, and occurrence of Y-stains at noncolor-forming parts due to light, heat, and humidity to be prevented. |
