PURPOSE:To simplify a terminal switching unit by alternately providing N pieces and (N+1) pieces of conductors of two sets of coils contained in slots circumferentially, thereby reducing the number of switching terminals while employing a single winding type which enable to reduce the size. CONSTITUTION:The number of conductors of coils disposed at the downside in a slot are sequentially 2, 1, 2, 1... to be contained in the slot of large number from that of 1 contained in the slot, and the numbers of the conductors per each slot are similarly sequentially, 1, 2, 1, 2... in odd numbers. Windings A1... are connected with each other, and 6 terminals are led. Since six poles and four poles of a rotary magnetic field can be switched by suitably switching the six terminals, the terminal switching unit can be made extremely simple. Since a single winding type is used, the entire armature can be largely reduced in size. |
