PURPOSE:To improve a brightness and a resolution by providing a red and blue picture image output circuit outputting video signals of red and blue and a complex color projecting tube connected to this circuit and projecting the red color image and the blue color image in a beam index system. CONSTITUTION:A projection type TV receiver 11 uses a monochrome projecting tube 11g of green and a complex color projecting tube 11rb of red and blue. To an image processing circuit 12, a green image output circuit 13g feeding a green video signal to the projecting tube 11g and a red and blue image output circuit 13rb outputting the red and the blue video signals to the projecting tube 11rb are connected. The projecting tube 11rb projects the red image and the blue image in a beam index system and a brighter image than the complex color projecting tube in the beam index system including a green image. The projecting tube 11g only projects the green image, so that the green color part of the picture image having the strongest visual appeal can maintain a resolution equal to a three tube type projection TV receiver.
