PURPOSE:To make transfer of a battery easy by mounting a handle which can freely rotate on a cover and making the height of a handle when it is in a laying position equal to that of the upper surface of the cover. CONSTITUTION:A hole 16 is installed on the upper surface of a cover 12. A handle 11 is easily mounted to the cover 12 by inserting a pin 15 of the handle 11 into the hole 16. Since the handle 11 mounted can freely rotate round the pin 15, when the handle 11 is vertically positioned, a hand can easily be inserted inside the handle 11 and a lead-acid battery is lifted with one hand. When the handle 11 is in a laying position, the height of the handle is almost equal to that of the upper surface of the higher part 12a in the cover 12. When the lead-acid battery is mounted on a car, any change of fastening metal band 17 is not necessary. |
