VISUAL SENSATION SENSOR FOR CONFIRMING MOVING BODY

PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform the confirmation of a moving body at a high speed by shortening the processing time of information, by calculating the differential value of the image element signal between two continuous frames at every picture element and extracting necessary information on the basis of said differential value. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric converter element 1a spatially constitutes one picture element and accumulates the charge corresponding to the quantity of light received during frame timing through a light receiving window to transmit the same to a charge accumulation part 2. Charge transfer elements 2a, 3a have no light receiving windows and the element 2a receives the transfer of charge by image pick-up prior to one frame from a photoelectric converter part 1 to accumulate said charge and the element 3a accumulates charge further prior to one frame through a sense amplifying part 4. The image signal prior to one frame read from an accumulation part 2 through the sense amplifying part 4 and the image signal prior to two frames read from a charge accumulation part 3 through a sense amplifying part 5 are inputted to an operational amplifying part 6 and analogue operation calculating the difference between these inputs is performed and the obtained difference signal is quantized to a ternary value in a ternarization part 7.
