PURPOSE:To control slagging trouble during combustion, by supplying and burning slagging inhibitors including specific compounds as effective components together with solid petroleum residue (SPR). CONSTITUTION:Slagging inhibitors including, as effective components, one or more than one kind out of compounds of Ca, Mg, Al, Si and Fe, are fed to a boiler together with SPR and burnt. The mixture ratio of the slagging inhibi tor to SPR is within a range of 0.01-0.5wt%, preferably, 0.03-0.1wt%. Slagging inhibitors, being in the form of powder or in the form of water slurry dispersed therein or water solution dissolved therein, or, if safety permits, in the form of oil slurry or oil solution, are added to SPR, mixed therewith and used for boiler combustion. By this, slagging during combustion is effectively controlled and troubles of reduction of operation due to the contamination inside the boiler is improved. |
