PURPOSE:To reduce the burden of a CPU a main body to input keys efficiently by providing a transmitting means to which open/close information is inputted through a key matrix, and from which an encoded open/close code is transmitted to a main processor. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 2 of the code transmitting means checks the current state of a cover of the device; and if the cover is opened, the CPU 2 discriminates whether a cover switch 3c is closed or not. If it is closed, it is granted that the switch 3c is switched from closing to opening, and a close code is stored in the beginning of a code buffer provided in the CPU 2. If the switch 3c is opened, the switch 3c is regarded as opened to terminate the con trol. If the cover is closed, the CPU 2 discriminates whether the switch 3c is opened or not. If it is opened, an open code is stored in the beginning of the code buffer; but if it is closed, the switch 3c is judged to be closed to termi nate the control.
