Electronic vernier calliper having relatively large measuring ranges, and electronic height-measuring and marking-out instruments necessitate special cross-sections of the guide profile and of the accommodating surfaces of the material measure for the purpose of fastening the electronic measuring head. A stepped guide profile machined from the solid material and having a recessed receptacle for the material measure facilitates mounting of the measuring head and of the material measure without special means for intermediate fastening.
